We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our business on a Fixed Term Contract until the end of 2019.

The Human Resources team partners with business leaders to deliver effective solutions across the employment lifecycle that are globally consistent and locally relevant. Australia provides geographical support to Australian business leaders across all of the key Pearson product and service teams whilst working in collaboration with the broader HR team within region to deliver specific projects, solutions and improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the business to ensure employees and line managers are provided with high quality HR support and advice that is compliant with legislation and meets company goals.

  • Negotiate and resolve employment relations matters in collaboration with managers and ensure alignment with the Company values and expectations.

  • Deliver current and changing HR programs and projects as guided by the VP Human Resources across all employment lifecycle services and in collaboration with the Human Resource Advisor, operational centres and specialists.

  • Partner with the business to review organisational development requirements including developing and facilitating internal training programs, supporting engagement processes and workforce planning.

  • Champion Diversity and Inclusion principles and practices at Pearson Australia.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR/relevant discipline or equivalent working experience.

  • Exceptional skills across industrial/employee relations and organisational development are preferable.

  • Demonstrated success in a generalist HR business partnering role within a professional services environment.

  • Able to effectively communicate, influence and engage across a variety of stakeholder groups.
