Role

The Content Developer will perform content development tasks for a Secondary French series, and support the production process. The Content Developer is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality content and assisting authors and publishers to finalise content under tight timelines.

At times the Content Developer will be required to write additional content as part of this role.

Responsibilities include;

  • Reviewing authored content for print and digital products to ensure quality, timeliness of delivery, curriculum and market fit, and efficacy

  • Creating original content when required in line with the writing brief and/or the direction of the project lead

  • Actively engaging with content to improve editorial value by checking for accuracy, syllabus fit, consistency of style

  • Ensuring illustration briefs are correctly completed and changes uploaded to an internal system

  • Attending audio recordings and filming sessions at an external studio as French language checker.

Qualifications

Selection criteria

  • Fluent French speaking and writing

  • Tertiary qualification in Languages, Education or Communication/Publishing

  • Demonstrated writing or editing experience for education

  • Ability to write to a brief and check work against a brief with great attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks and meet tight deadlines.

This casual role with varying hours per week (up to 37 hours) allows for a mixture of remote or office-based work.
