The Project Manager for Pearson’s Global Payroll CoE will execute and manage a portfolio of business unit specific projects which aid in the transformation of Pearson’s global payroll practice.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and implementation of projects including scope and objective definition, in partnership with the Global Payroll leadership team and stakeholders
Monitor budget and adjust based on project constraints based on financial analysis
Coordinate internal and external resources for the flawless execution of projects
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members, maintaining good relationships to support the delivery and adoption of the project
Create, drive and track the project plan with flexibility and adaptability
Hold people to account to ensure deliverables are met within defined timeframes through project tracking and agreed outcomes
Escalate and own mitigation plans for any element of the project that is not running to plan
Facilitate/coordinate stakeholder meetings, daily stand-ups and ad-hoc meetings between the different teams dependent on the priorities and cross-over activities
Conduct after-action review post project closeout for ongoing continuous improvements
Manage and maintain project artefacts which include: - Dashboards and reporting - Issue, risk and dependency logs - Document repository within SharePoint - Slide decks, meeting agendas/minutes, etc. - Resource plans
Experience:
3+ years of progressively responsible experience in related roles
Demonstrable stakeholder management skills including influencing, facilitation and mediation
Demonstrate conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures related to project management
Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize
