Our Talent Acquisition team is embarking on a new chapter as we look to build a world class team based in Manila to support our global business. We will be hiring a number of people and looking to invest in the success of this new team. This is a great opportunity to join a brand new team in Manila in supporting the worlds learning company progress and shift into a digital environment. Please note you will have to work a US/UK shift pattern for this role.

Why we need you:

The Talent Advisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the recruiting function by partnering with stakeholders to develop and implement an effective sourcing, screening and selection process. You will be part of a global Talent Acquisition team and focus on using creative sourcing strategies to source talent for roles located in the United States. This position reports to the Manager Talent Acquisition based locally in Manila.

We need you to collaborate with the Senior Leadership team and HR business partners to understand hiring needs and future requirements. You will promote effective use of recruitment tools, and adhere to processes and systems that feed into the Global TA function and market roles internally and externally including via social media and other direct sourcing channels.

What we need you to do:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop recruitment strategies for critical roles, this will involve advising at an early level, taking full ownership for the direction of the recruitment campaign and also speaking and assessing candidates for every role you manage.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs

  • Consider the relevant channels for attracting talent in your business area

  • Focus on continuous improvements to increase hiring process efficiency

  • Stay connected with external market factors as well as new best practices/trends affecting recruiting.

  • Use feedback from candidates and Hiring Managers to improve processes

  • Guide and educate Hiring Managers on process, policies and programs

  • Maintain data, and report on all hiring activity and metrics.

  • Support, plan and actively advocate Pearson’s diversity goals and initiatives

  • Manage relationships with vendors and partners

  • Provide an excellent candidate experience

  • Essure the relevant hand off to the central HR support team to produce contracts

What we need you to bring:

  • First class communication skills in English as many of your stakeholders will be based in the US and UK

  • Proven history of full-lifecycle recruiting - identifying, evaluating and hiring high calibre talent

  • Experience with recruitment in a large enterprise organisation

  • Extensive experience recruiting a variety of positions in the US with the required knowledge of US legislation around hiring

  • Outstanding communication skills including the ability to influence business partners and key decision makers across the organisation

  • Understand the importance of candidate experience and able to operate with a customer focused mindset at all times

  • Able to think creatively and design innovative sourcing campaigns

  • Strong business acumen, analytical and planning skills with a genuine desire to understand the way digital technology is impacting education

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to drive and deliver results

  • Strong proficiency with all technologies – ATS, MS Office, Social, Web, Google
