The Publisher leads a project team or segment team and makes key decisions about the creation or expansion of a product or service.
Maintaining focus on the product or service, the Publisher:
Collaborates with appropriate representatives from the Geo Sales and Marketing teams and Global Product teams in identifying the products and services that address defined customer needs, have a measurable impact on learner outcomes, and that will drive growth and profitability
Manages the ongoing growth of the product or service in the context of the market changes
Responds to trends, needs and innovations in education and technology
The publisher manages ELT editors and is responsible for the oversight of project team member activities, ensuring that clear communication lines and a clear sense of direction and purpose are established and maintained, so that all team members work to a common goal.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Degree in linguistics, foreign language, or related field or qualification in teaching English as a second/foreign language (Certificate or Diploma in TEFL or TESOL).
Skills/knowledge/competencies
sound business and technical acumen, with the ability to navigate a complex matrixed organisation, establishing effective communication lines with multiple stakeholders
ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines, remaining pragmatic and results-focused
leadership, mentoring and coaching experience is essential - proven ability in managing change and establishing and supporting winning teams
excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
effective interpersonal skills
expertise in identifying project critical success factors and barriers to success, initiating change to bring about a successful project delivery
ability to motivate a team to work to the best of their abilities, and to focus team members on results
mother tongue or C2 level English and Spanish
Prior Experience
Extensive publishing, media or other relevant experience
Proven record in developing and delivering customer-focused educational products and services
