We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead Deal Delivery Management for our Corporate Development M&A pipeline. The VP Deal Operations provides leadership to the Deal Operations team, overseeing the M&A Deal Operations transaction portfolio, responsible for end – to end oversight, management and delivery of pre- and post-deal planning, separation and integration activities. The position has overall oversight of enabling functions and business workstreams through each Deal Transaction.
The VP Deal Operation's remit encompasses the entire deal life-cycle with responsibility for operational and strategic aspects across business operational strategies, workforce strategies, people strategies, organizational change, deal on boarding, engagement, and deal value realisation. This role acts as central integrator of various business and corporate functions responsible for enabling the strategic value drivers and protecting deal obligations to ensure operational execution. The role has significant senior leadership engagement and interaction, responsible for building strong relationships and partnerships across a complex matrixed organisation.
Strategy and Execution: Directs and delivers the M&A Acquisition and Divestiture transaction portfolio, from early assessment and planning, through to operational handover.
Lead and Manage: Leads a team of direct reports, to build up a center of expertise for deal professionals. Directs and manages a portfolio of Deal Management Offices consisting of a mix of internal teams, business secondees and external agencies.
Governance and Compliance: Ensure pre- deal due diligence, risk management and valuation processes and deliverables, are robust and adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements
Communication and Collaboration: Ensure transaction governance and managing of buyer/business relationships, risk & issue management to ensure successful execution of pre and post deal close activities. Build a network of partnerships internally and externally that help drive Deal Operations performance improvement
Analytics and research: Directs a matrix team of professionals in gathering financial estimates and identifying key costs associated with integration or separation, preparing detailed and accurate financial estimations and budget management, as well as tracking of deal KPI’s to ensure realization of value drivers

Experience working in an M&A, Divestment and Deal delivery capacity within a fast-paced, highly competitive, and dynamic environment, at a Senior Leadership/VP level.
Experience managing a deal operations team through the entire life-cycle of a transaction.
Experience of managing people and teams, with ability to build strong networks and business relationships with influence across a highly complex, globally matrixed organization with competing priorities
Highly proficient in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong project management experience with proven delivery expertise at a strategic and tactical level
Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable.
