To support the Head of Employee Apprenticeships in the operational management and quality assurance of the Pearson employee apprenticeship programme.
To ensure that the programme runs effectively and efficiently in line with the needs of the business, the Education and Skills Funding Agency funding rules and Ofsted. This will entail the monitoring of training partner performance and their interaction with Pearson apprentices and Pearson apprentice’s line managers.

To take the lead on the Learner Voice strategy encompassing organising celebration of success events, co-ordinating learner and line manager engagement in the various activities outlined in the strategy and produce evaluative data demonstrating impact and ideas for improvement.
To act as a first contact for apprentices and line managers who have questions, issues or problems and to liaise with HR Business Partners.
To support the Safeguarding/Prevent lead for the programme and work closely with the Pearson Safeguarding Lead to ensure that safeguarding and prevent is inherently built into all aspects of the programme from procurement of delivery partners through to programme content and design for the apprentices.
To ensure that Safeguarding and Prevent disclosures and actions are captured and monitored in line with company policy.
To produce summary performance dashboard reports and presentations from the performance data that providers produce to enable the Head of Apprentices to fully monitor and manage the programme across all training partners (internal and external).
To analyse themes arising from the Head of Apprenticeship’s performance monitoring visits and activities across all training partners and ensure actions from the contract review meetings are tracked and completed.
To manage the internal Expression of Interest process to ensure that interested candidates are transferred to the appropriate delivery partner and that People Services have the correct information to initiate the Apprenticeship contract documentation.
To use the Digital Apprenticeship System to enrol new apprentices onto programme and to check that the information is correct. To use the system to stop learners, monitor achievements and identify any irregularities.
To conduct regular audits and performance review activities of providers according to an annual schedule resulting in reports to the Head of Employee Apprenticeships.
To work with Talent Acquisition and HR on the numbers of learners to join the programme in each cohort throughout the year.
To work closely with the business, the Head of Employee Apprenticeships to create a pipeline for future cohorts and to liaise with training partners on future numbers across sites and the apprenticeships involved.
To conduct operational meetings with new providers to ensure that they are familiar with the way that Pearson runs its programmes and understand the flow of information and documentation they will receive to support new apprentices onto programme.
To keep induction and training content up to date for apprentices and line managers. To facilitate induction for each cohort with the Head of Employee Apprenticeships.
Responsible for administrating BKSB for all internal candidates and passing access through to the training providers so that they can support the apprentices with their English and Maths.
To participate in internal and external communication activities such as roadshows, awareness raising sessions for potential apprentices and their line managers.
To participate in external recruitment events to support Talent Acquisition.
To attend external events on behalf of Pearson as an employer of apprentices.
To keep up to date with mandatory company training and any training that is identified as appropriate to the job role such as safeguarding/prevent and anything that is aligned to new initiatives the government brings in connected to apprenticeships and T levels.
Skills and Experience:
Essential: experience of apprenticeships, work-based learning, Ofsted inspections, ESFA funding rules
Skilled IT user
Attention to detail
Good verbal communication skills
Educated to degree level
Good understanding of Pearson the business or has worked in a training provider with large business accounts or has worked in a corporate organisation.
DBS cleared and up to date certification (to be initiated on commencement of the role)
