Working in partnership with universities across the UK, the Pearson Online Learning Services (POLS) team provides online learning services including marketing, student recruitment, course content development, training and ongoing student support.

Purpose of the position

This role will suit a determined and enthusiastic individual to manage the day-to-day operation of structuring meeting agendas and minutes, helping to close open request tickets for the Business Systems Team, and onboarding platforms and suppliers, along with compliance issues such as privacy and data security issues, accessibility compliance, RAID management, and managing the platforms and supplier audits and inventory. We are looking for a dedicated, organised, proactive, and driven individual who is committed to getting it right with a never-ending desire to learn, improve and contribute.

Primary Responsibilities

You will be self-motivated, diligent and accurate, able to work under pressure to meet business and project demands within a dynamic and fast paced environment. You are easily able to respond with urgency to solve problems as they emerge, through effective communication and coordination with the wider project delivery team, support functions and vendors.

● Structuring team meeting agendas, producing minutes, and following up actions;

● Monitoring the ticketing system, updating the stakeholders, and helping to close the request tickets as soon as possible;

● RAID management;

● Onboarding platforms and suppliers;

● Liaise with the Data Protection Office regarding Privacy compliance across all projects;

● Liaise with the Chief Information Security Office regarding data security compliance;

● Respond to data security issues and liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve;

● Liaise with the Accessibility team regarding WCAG compliance;

● Manage the Safe Data Handling Policies including internal annual review;

● Manage the platforms and supplier inventory, scorecards and audits;

● Support on platforms such as Zoom and SFTPs; and

● Worked in both Agile and Waterfall environments

● Experience and knowledge in WCAG

● Experience and knowledge in GDPR and PECR

● Experience and knowledge in system and data security

● Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001

● Experience with Cloud based delivery models
