Position Purpose:

Global Corporate Affairs & Marketing (GCAM) communicates Pearson's unique position as the world's learning company, while building strong and enduring relationships with our key stakeholders across the global audiences around the world. We focus on helping to strengthen our reputation with policymakers, influencers, the general public, and our employees. We ensure that our brand, communication, digital, and marketing efforts are being driven with global consistency. We are looking for a sharp, driven, and detail oriented expert to take on the role as Analytics & Demand Manageron all analytical and forecasting activities, helping to build understanding and excitement around the ambitious strategy throughout Pearson. You will also partner closely with others, including Data and Analytics, on any Digital Channels activity.

Reporting to the Director Data and Analytics, you will help shape forecasting and benchmarking activities associated with customers and products for Pearson globally, and specifically for the digital experience arena, and build the team’s global community and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies for effective demand reporting and benchmarking

  • Work closely with management to shape programme strategy

  • Understand business needs and objectives

  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting

  • Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources

  • Select, configure and implement analytics solutions

  • Develop standards for demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

  • Interact with sales, marketing, and product to understand demand forecast drivers.

  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Product to obtain and ensure that current tools meets the business needs.

  • Define primary forecasting system tool standards for demand planning.

Qualifications

Key Attributes :

Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.

Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.

Strong familiarity with Google 360 suite: Analytics, Tag Manager & Optimize

Limited or professional Javascript working proficiency.

Strong interpersonal skills

Superb communication skills

Attention to detail

Problem-solving aptitude

Degree (or equivalent) preferable
