Pearson has undertaken a major restructure to move from a federated set of businesses to a new ‘One Pearson‘ structure over the last two years. There are a number of programmes and initiatives underway to ensure our infrastructure, data and systems can support the One Pearson structure.
The Enabling Programme is a major programme working to integrate finance, HR and supply chain data, processes, policy and systems to support our new structure.
Role overview & Purpose
This role will be part of the Enabling Programme, a major Pearson transformation programme working to integrate finance, HR and supply chain data, processes, policy and systems to support the One Pearson vision. Within the HR Team, this role will provide functional area expertise, and will co-ordinate and support the process workstream for given subject areas. The role will ensure that by working closely with SMEs and the Deployment Lead and Wave Lead, the solution developed and supporting documentation is fit for purpose and aligns to Pearson strategy and culture. The purpose of the role is to support and provide expertise for the analysis, development, re-design and documentation of the Talent processes.
This role will be critical in helping ensure we build a cohesive operating model through clear RACIs identified across the HR function and wider organisation.
The role will report to the Deployment Lead and will work in partnership with the HR Enabling Programme team, the HR function and the wider Enabling Programme and HR Operations teams to support this major operational transformation.

Key Deliverables
Provide expertise, and coordinate the efforts for global process design and capture of documentation / system requirements to ensure the Talent processes are fit for purpose and support the achievement of the business strategy
Assist with managing the global process design/gap-fit and capture of documentation / system requirements
Support the Deployment Lead in delivering the fit-gap workshops
Identify opportunities to automate, simplify or standardize processes which are aligned to the system capability whilst also being compliant with legislation/regulation
Coordinate SME input into the design, development and implementation of Talent process documentation
Prepare documentation for Talent processes, including a full toolkit of process maps and guidance
Responsible for ensuring appropriate risk and controls and measurable outcomes are identified and setting the reporting requirements to ensure these can be measured. Liaising with groups such as Internal Audit to consider a review of risk and controls as part of the implementation plan may be necessary.
Ensure the adherence to the global approach for process localization including updating templates, documents as required
Coordinate with HR Operations in the creation of local work instructions and training materials for assigned processes
Support the efforts of and participate in user acceptance testing and parallel testing as required
Provide input to the definition of Service Level Agreements with the business and HR stakeholders as required
Work with HR Operations team to support process training and knowledge transfer activities needed to ensure good end user experience
Ensure all elements of process design are documented in the services catalogue, enable PPS to deliver the scope of services required and fit within the shared service business model
Support in the process transition from the current business model to the new ways of working through the centre, helping to establish a sustainable process transition
Become a process expert for PPS and HR Operations challenging where necessary to ensure centres understand the processes and receive all the knowledge required to deliver them successfully

Qualifications
Essential Skills /Experience
Proven success working within an operationally-focused and output-driven environment
Experience of working on large scale complex change or transformation project
Demonstrable subject matter expertise within the area of employee Talent processes and innovative best practices for large global organisations
Understanding of global HR end to end process redesign and implementation is desirable
Ability to drive fit-gap assessments, in order to incorporate necessary requirements while meeting programme timeline
Knowledge of Talent process KPIs and reporting tools
Ability to build, maintain and manage strong relationships within an international business and across many different stakeholder groups
The role holder must have functional and operational credibility and be able negotiate and facilitate discussions to get the best end result
