The EPA Administrator supports the Senior EPA Delivery Manager and immediate team on a daily basis to complete key administration, data analysis and data reporting tasks using a range of tools and systems. The post holder will ensure that business processes are carried out to a high standard, in accordance with all appropriate internal and external requirements, and can withstand scrutiny by internal audit and key stakeholders - including external quality assurance bodies, regulators, employers, apprentices and parents.

The post-holder will also contribute to the ongoing review and continuous improvement of our EPA service, ensuring ongoing effectiveness and process efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Respond to email and telephone queries from internal and external customers/stakeholders, representing the EPA Delivery team

  • Use multiple IT packages, associated with the EPA delivery service including MS Excel, OneCRM, ACE360, Microsoft suite applications, Tableau

  • Undertake data reporting on a daily basis to ensure EPA administration and delivery schedules are on track

  • Support the Senior EPA Delivery Manager and immediate team through accurate and timely data input, updates and regular record keeping on assessors, customers and apprentices

  • Act as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on EPA delivery queries and EPA tested product

  • Manage bulk data uploads to ACE360, ESFA Claims portal and other IT systems as and when required

  • Maintain an accurate overview of all SLA requirements related to the efficient delivery of EPA services including Gateway approvals, EPA scheduling, test results delivery, overall EPA results delivery

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, and manage associated logistics and communications, related to IEA/IQA training, standardisation and EPA scheduling

  • Update and report on key management information to relevant team members, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate

  • Report all risks and issues, to relevant team members, including any suspected malpractice/maladministration or conflicts of interest

  • Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of EPA processes and systems, maintaining good working practices

  • Support all event management and administration activities related to EPA service delivery including assessor recruitment, training and standardisation events, CPD activities

  • Take responsibility for own learning and development, associated with the role and the wider work of the team/business unit.

Background and Experience (Essential):

  • Previous experience as a Senior Administrator, ideally within a complex business unit organisation

  • Experience of providing business support in a busy, matrixed, environment

  • Experience of data input and data management, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality

  • Competent using IT, including databases, and common business support packages

  • Experience of improving efficiency and streamlining tasks in a complex administrative environment

  • Experience of managing and prioritising own workload

  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment
