We work on a variety of projects, products and services to create and maintain an excellent assessment and content experience for our learners. This role plays a key part in the delivery of all related assessment and content aspects for a selection of vocational qualifications, assessments and services, and is accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of assessment content and outcomes in their assigned area. This role requires the postholder to be able to deliver key assessment and content tasks, in a high pressured and regulated environment on time and accurately.
About the role
A Content and Assessment Leader (CAL) manages the production of on-demand test content and regularly reviews a portfolio of BTEC Specialist qualifications and End-point Assessment (EPAs).
Manage the end-to-end production of assessment content for qualifications including liaising with qualification development teams and delivery teams to meet tight, immoveable deadlines
Maintain knowledge of key assessment principles and continue to improve knowledge as development occurs in the field
Ensure Pearson’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policy is implemented in content and practices
Work as part of a team to ensure team or divisional goals are met and support Senior CALs and Qualification Delivery & Award Manager (e.g. reviewing new content, and supporting new projects by helping with research and implementation)
Regularly review data for completed tests to ensure materials are error-free and performing as expected using relevant programmes and ensuring that content is consistently updates for any regulatory or policy changes in the relevant field
Update and report on progress of development, production, delivery and review activities, ensuring all data and tracking is up-to-date and accurate
Resolve development, production, delivery and review issues (including customer queries) identified within the assigned portfolio in an accurate and timely manner
Report all risks and issues to relevant team members, including any suspected malpractice/maladministration or conflicts of interest
Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of EPA processes and systems, maintaining good working practices
Use multiple IT packages associated with EPA and Specialist production and delivery, including Office 365 suite, ACE360, Smartsheets and IQS
Support event management activities related to assigned portfolio, including subject specialist recruitment and training, review meetings and lessons learned sessions
Take accountability for own learning and development associated with the role and the wider work of the team/business unit

Role location : This is a remote working position until at least summer 2021 where the role will locate back to a Pearson London office location.
