Located in the capital of Indonesia, in West Jakarta, our office is 5 minutes away from nearest toll gate and 10 minutes' walk from Busway station. Perfect location for person who hates traffic and special car's plate zone.

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving HED business performance in Indonesia by achieving or exceeding revenue targets and expanding market share. This role is responsible for establishing strategic partnerships with key institutional by leveraging Pearson product and service solutions to meet the educational outcomes

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for HED sales and business development primarily by developing and growing new institutional sales and laying the ground for D2C business including E-Commerce

  • Develop and execution of strategies that result in growth opportunities and deliver customer needs

  • Identify and build strategic relationships with key University stakeholders such as Teaching & Learning, IT (technical), Procurement, Educational Designers, Finance, and Library to ensure awareness of Pearson products and services

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deliver complex needs of institutional customers

  • Develop enterprise solution proposal documents and presentations

  • Develop and maintain sales pipeline for all qualified opportunities in OneCRM (salesforce.com)

Key competencies required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5 years’ experience with a successful track record in sales or business development or related customer-facing role in higher education or a related field

  • Experience interfacing with executive management; ability to conduct high-level sales meetings with Deans, Vice Chancellors and other similar executive levels

  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience

  • Great commercial acumen

  • Passion for higher education, learner success and Pearson mission

  • Experience with SalesForce would be a key advantage

  • Partnership experience (e.g. working with Telcos) would be an added advantage
