Pearson Content Project Executive in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Job Title: Content Project Executive (Fixed Term Contract)

Reporting to Head of Product Marketing and Services and working as part of the Pearson Hong Kong Higher Education team, this role will help scope, produce and deliver customized print and digital products. You will project manage your list of titles in collaboration with sales, editorial, production, and manufacturing colleagues to ensure on-time delivery, on budget, and high quality.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support Key Account Managers (KAMs) in their pre-sale activities, especially on product and process knowledge, to ensure that solutions meet customer requirements and are feasible in the timeframe and budget

  • Work with authors/contributors and Editorial, Production, and Manufacturing colleagues to ensure timely production of assigned custom titles (both print and digital)

  • Create and maintain contracts, databases, payments, and internal systems as required

  • Resolve all project-specific issues as they arise, ensuring that key stakeholders are aware of any delays or milestones which may affect their projects

  • Create project P&L for approval and set the project in an internal system (e.g. Oracle)

  • Build projects pipeline which includes planning, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting

Key competencies

  • Excellent communication skills and command of both English and Chinese languages

  • Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and planning skills. Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects to tight deadlines

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Experience in textbook editing is preferred

  • Good understanding of project management tools (e.g. SmartSheet) and techniques

  • Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships and collaborate with different teams

  • Knowledge of rights & permissions process
