Pearson Technical Project Manager (Remote) in Hoboken, New Jersey
The Project Manager (Digital Pipeline) will manage the transformation of educational content types across digital platforms. The Project Manager works within the Content Standards team, which develops best practices and supports content integration across workflows, specifications, and digital tools. Manage schedules and budgets for all assigned products to ensure that project goals, milestones, and deliverables are met on time and within budget. Work closely with supervisor and other team members to make sure all content incorporates learning design best practices and meets Pearson’s accessibility standards.
The Project Manager’s responsibilities include the following:
Facilitate stakeholders to create best practices in digital content management, reuse and transformation. Document and evangelize these practices.
For specific content transformation projects, identify and execute key workflow steps to enable existing content in new platforms and tools.
Manage project status. Working in a small team or at scale with vendor partners, track and communicate the details necessary for partner success.
Work closely with manager and other team members to ensure that all content meets Pearson’s accessibility standards to align with WCAG 2.1.
Support quality assurance (content, functionality and accessibility) in collaboration with Pearson’s dedicated QA team.
Evaluate process and technical gaps, to continuously improve pipeline support and delivery.
Manage budgets and execute project activities within constraints.
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
Research and evaluate product and technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company
Assess the value of content strategies by setting up POCs and full tests and analyzing results
Regular collation, analysis and presentation of the global content KPI data
Provide content insights, deep dives and post analysis reports
Work on optimization of the data tools used in the day to day work of the content team
Provide data support to content team
Related work experience
Proven track record of working independently within cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss any issues with a wide variety of individuals and groups
Familiarity with Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook etc. and an interest in technology
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
Formal Education or Equivalent
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree required

Knowledge of Smartsheets or equivalent project management tools is a plus
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is a minimum salary of $ 60,000 This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.
