The Alliances and Partnerships Specialist is responsible for supporting and leading the coordination of key internal and external partner relationships. This includes working within a matrix to initiate and execute on complex deliverables in support of the Career Development & Employability team. The Specialist will use deep partner insight and cross-discipline knowledge to drive the association relationship and generate revenue.

Responsibilities:

Interfacing with key and senior partner contacts and their team members to facilitate long-term planning, product management, and problem resolution.

Managing discrete publishing and development plans across different types of partner relationship to optimize return on investment and overall revenue and growth.

Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders across Pearson related to digital initiatives, production, marketing, and sales efforts on behalf of partners across multiple customer channels.

Working closely with Director, Alliances and Partnerships to develop thorough, detailed and clearly communicated analysis and recommendations to facilitate decision making and strategic planning.

Engaging directly with employers and industry who make up partner membership or client base to develop employer engagement strategy.

Delivering portfolio/product mix and related KPIs including financial performance, gross profit contribution, and learner outcomes.

Tracking implementation benchmarks and deliverables. Delivering monthly and quarterly reports to present to partners.

Working collaboratively with Career Development & Employability team members and work as part of a matrix across Pearson to recommend discipline relevant technology roadmap improvements, and the customer and learner requirements needed to deliver on the value proposition

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Undergraduate degree required

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the education sector experience. Multi-customer channel experience (such as High School, Higher Education, and Industry preferred).

  • Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize multiple viewpoints into actionable plans.

  • Excellent negotiation, diplomatic, leadership skills with proven ability to influence others and drive results.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate effectively for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated quantitative, analytical and business strategy skills.

  • Creative problem solver who uses data to inform decisions.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment across multiple time zones.

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with ambiguity

  • Experience with developing and adhering to P&Ls and budgets

Desired:

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn how to create reports, analyze and leverage labor market data using programs like Wanted Analytics and/or Burning Glass.

  • Knowledge of career trades and industry relationships.

  • Product development experience for online and print learning solutions across diverse customer and client channels both within North America and globally
