Job Description

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution through all phases of the product development lifecycle with a focus on integrations. This includes working very closely with other product managers, as well as engineering, quality assurance, architecture, design, product strategy, and project management to define, align, and deliver on stakeholder requirements. You will work collaboratively to create simple, elegant, and effective product capabilities that address the requirements for ensuring our authoring applications seamlessly integrate with parent platforms.

This is an opportunity for a strong product manager to help lead a successful courseware product with global reach. You will be responsible for the end-to-end product platform, in addition to supporting common capabilities that will be integrated into other products throughout the overall product portfolio.

Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Defining, tracking, and leading the execution of the roadmap

  • Collaborating with stakeholders and customers to define and prioritize product requirements

  • Writing functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and other documents necessary for the implementation of the roadmap

  • Leading cross-functional teams involved in scaled authoring environments and delivery platforms to define product specifications, establish milestones, and manage quality assurance activities

  • Working closely with engineering, quality assurance, and project management teams to scope efforts, identify and manage dependencies, and verify implementations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 to3years product management experience, with demonstrated success defining and building digital products and/or native mobile apps

  • Strong technical aptitude with deep knowledge of and experience working with integrations and APIs

  • Experience leading multi-functional project teams and working cross-functionally

  • Experience functioning as a product owner in an agile software development team

  • Very strong attention to detail

  • Strategic thinker with bias for action

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills – from strategic vision to specific details of implementation

  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment with multiple responsibilities

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience leading the development of new products in the education technology or digital media fields

  • Experience in SSO and federated architecture.

  • Experience building common capabilities leveraged throughout a product portfolio

  • Experience with JIRA
