Pearson's suite of interoperability capabilities facilitate system-to-system communications between various internal and
external learning applications, including a wide-array of 3rd-party Learning Management Systems (LMS's). These
capabilities extensively support existing business and will play a pivotal role in Pearson's future-state platform strategy.
The Senior Product Manager for Interoperability Capabilities provides leadership for multiple cross-functional software
delivery teams (comprised of software engineers, software quality engineers, and technical project managers) sharing
responsibility for planning, designing, and delivering on capabilities to support Pearson's diverse portfolio of learning
products. The Senior Product Manager is active in all phases of planning and development, from gathering stakeholder
input and requirements through design and delivery.
The Senior Product Manager for Interoperability Capabilities:
Gathers requirements and other documentation to support the development process;
Writes, grooms, and prioritizes users stories;
Contributes to mid- and long-term roadmap definition;
Serves as product owner in Agile Development ceremonies (including daily scrum, iteration planning, and product
- Manages and executes on product model roadmaps in response to application requirements and in coordination with
other development groups contributing services for the Pearson platform strategy;
Troubleshoots and facilitates the resolution of production issues; and
Maintains relevant scope and delivery timelines.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience;
Minimum 5 years software product management or project management experience;
Experience with large-scale systems integration projects with strong aptitude for managing highly complex issues relating
to scalability and interoperability; and
- Experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Detail oriented, possessing concise and assertive communication skills;
Confident in making sound and timely decisions using strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Able to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects;
Willing to work independently or collaboratively (as part of a cross-functional team), building consensus both horizontally
and vertically; and
- Familiar with Agile Development methodologies.
The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is 100K-110K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
