Senior Program Manager

As the eCommerce Initiative Owner/Program Manager you will maintain a high level of oversight of key initiatives running across our D2C business. You will support the Digital Channels Leadership team and manage initiative scoping & definition for the working teams. You serve as the bridge between eCommerce and cross-functional partners including Technology, Product and Marketing, aligning stakeholders and shepherding teams through the process of bringing our programs to life. You oversee planning, roadmaps, resourcing, and documentation for your workstreams.

You will be a strategic partner to Product & Experience teams and manage the operations of the eCommerce workstream. You bring creativity to the operational aspects of the team and deal with solving the “how,” freeing up your peers to focus on crafting the “what.” You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore, and uncover new ways of doing things, and work collaboratively with stakeholders.

You have demonstrated strong performance in your prior roles; you thrive in ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.


  • Partner with the eCommerce Platform owner and XP Leads of your Initiative to establish the goals, roadmap, and operational model for how to engage with other cross-functional team members within the business.

  • Partner with the VP of eCommerce PMO to highlight any staffing needs inclusive of both internal teams & external teams when appropriate.

  • Collaborate with Creative Lead to understand all production timelines and weave them into a single team-wide program management view.

  • Serve as the go-to liaison with cross-functional partners

  • Stay closely connected with Go to Market Team to align Marketing programs with Product roadmap.

  • Establish and maintain personal and organizational credibility with Customers and Partners through deep delivery knowledge and effective communications.

  • Manage stakeholder communications and prioritize topics for executive engagement.

  • Cultivate, negotiate, and manage relationships with cross-functional partners

  • Define Business partner-based roadmap based on business priorities with macro-view of all supporting workstreams and ensure work delivers on goals.

  • Define and manage how the team interfaces with other functions such as Experience, Product Management, Comms, Brand, Go to Market

  • Establish and manage team operating rhythm, including communication structures, project templates, meeting cadence and review forums.

  • Drive a successful implementation by aligning and influencing relevant stakeholders across teams and markets and driving scope, resourcing, and workflow management.

  • Establish key milestones, plans and schedules to drive the accomplishment of milestones in a timely manner.

  • Prepare and present milestone reviews to upper-level management with input from project teams.

  • Scope, define, and manage initiative: define actionable plans, resourcing, and sequencing for large bodies of work

  • Understand and assess critical paths and dependencies for delivering applications and services to our customers.

  • Aggregate, organize and synthesize program and project information in order to clearly communicate with extended team and management.

  • Coordinate all areas of the business in preparation for the release of new features, products, or services to customers.

  • Provide up-to-date visibility into current projects, resource utilization, team performance, and product health across your teams

  • Facilitate regular project status and review meetings. Ensure right stakeholders and cross-functional team members are involved, document decisions and actions items, and follow up with owners on commitments.

  • High-level - Identify and predict obstacles, collisions, and risk to projects across multiple teams and seek solutions to clear them, or mitigate

  • Balance competing priorities and adjust resources as necessary.

  • Facilitate discussions among project teams, product management and engineering.

  • Partner with the working team to proactively identify risks/opportunities and surface recommendations and learnings.

  • Ensure the project is properly scoped and resourced, and that team members are engaged and informed of key responsibilities.

  • Listening to customers (internal and external) to understand their scenarios and challenges.

  • Define, collect, and measure the success of the product/feature through relevant metrics and KPIs.

  • Regularly tracking project performance and identifying areas for efficiency across the program.


Previous Experience

  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced, and performance-focused environments.

  • Experience in managing indirect teams to achieve common goals.

  • Ability to work autonomously.

  • Attention to detail.

  • 7+ years of operations and leadership experience with the ability to challenge and influence a variety of stakeholders.

  • Experience in project management on large-scale software development projects with teams working in multiple worldwide locations.

  • Experience leading teams using Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and XP, as well as other established project management principles and practices. The ability to adopt and adapt the right project management framework for a given project and proactively identify and execute process improvements project-wide as needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong emotional intelligence skills, and the ability to adapt content, detail, and approach to match the audience.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Able to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of a range of factors.

  • Fantastic attitude. A calming influence during times of stress, a focus on solutions rather than problems, and a desire to get the best out of every team member. Willing to do the little things that make software development teams great.

  • Uphold standards and best practices, ensure the proper processes and tools are applied
