We are looking for a Sr. Hyperion Analyst skilled in interacting with finance stakeholders and transforming business requirements into designs that drive high-quality Hyperion technical solutions.

Our Oracle Development team is responsible for delivery across the Oracle ERP and EPM landscapes. Pearson Hyperion developers work across applications and platforms to deliver fully integrated Oracle solutions which maximize application features and drive performance success.

You will be responsible for application updates as well as end to end development cycles as Pearson expands the EPM footprint. Development cycles may extend from functional design through configuration, testing, training, delivery and post-migration support. Successful candidates will be self-starter, independent critical thinkers who are focused and passionate about delivering unparalleled service to our business customers. Candidates should be knowledgeable of agile delivery methodology and skilled at managing delivery within stated milestones and target dates.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide maintenance, development and delivery of live production applications including HFM, Planning, Essbase and FDMEE as well as Hyperion reporting tools

  • Participate in requirements and design workshops to identify and scope functional and process requirements with the key business and project stakeholders

  • Analyse documented detailed business processes for design solutioning including design enhancements to the current application set

  • Assist stakeholders in defining future state processes and solutions incorporating best technology practices, industry standards as well as implementation of additional product solutions where needed

  • Articulate and document customer design requirements and translate them into developed solutions

  • Participate and manage Agile ceremonies.

  • Commit to increasing skills across the Oracle EPM landscape and outside core proficiencies

  • Liaison with offshore support teams in maintaining and updating the Pearson production environment applications

  • Support offshore resources and develop team members expand skills across the Hyperion product suite

  • Create and maintain solution documentation

  • Keep abreast of emerging technology trends and contribute to the ongoing education of our stakeholders and the team


  • Superior written and oral communication skills

  • Experience across the Hyperion product suite with knowledge of HFM, Planning, Essbase, FDMEE and HFR

  • Degree in finance, computer science, technology or related field

  • General understanding of financial statement, statutory and other industry reporting

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant implementation experience as an Oracle EPM Hyperion Developer

  • Oracle Certification is preferred

  • PMP Certification is a plus

  • Ability to understand a business problem, articulate a solution including Cost Benefit Analysis, track progress and report benefits realised and project performance

  • Able to work in fast paced environment and master unfamiliar concepts quickly with little supervision

  • Collaborate effectively with business clients and team members including virtual and offshore teams

  • Strong organisational skills and successfully manage development through iterative cycles

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office including Excel PowerPoint and Word

Note: Due to Covid 19, this position will be remote-based until July 2021, or until pandemic conditions allow us to use our offices safely.
