Senior Manager, Testing & Ecommerce Optimization

Pearson’s Global Digital Channels and Experience team is looking for a Conversion Rate Optimisation Lead who will be responsible for driving improvements to our ecommerce funnels through insights and testing programs. We need a commercially minded, optimization expert with an ability to think strategically, look at the business analytically, obsess about the details and implement with speed.

Collaboration, partnership and active stakeholder management is foundational to success in this role. Thriving in an evolving environment, working to drive innovation, and continuous improvement for efficiency and sustainable growth is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for using web analytics and data insights to define requirements and plans that deliver increased ecommerce conversion and engagement.

  • Owning Conversion Rate Optimization and A/B/MVT testing backlog for our global storefronts.

  • Define key metrics and KPIs, through continuous website testing and subsequent user experience improvements.

  • Create audits from web analytics data, user journeys flows and persona development. Prioritizing action-orientated next steps.

  • Work closely with our UX and product teams to drive an A/B testing and future Personalisation strategies.

  • Increase the level of insight and data driven decision making across the business through both exploratory and explanatory analysis.

  • Monitor data quality, proactivelycorrecting discrepancies ensuring accuracy.

  • Work closely with the leadership team to create actionable analytics plans.


Must Have Attributes :

  • Extensive ecommerce experience - You have worked in commercial roles before with conversion rate accountability.

  • Extensive A/B testing experience - You established and run A/B testing programs in an ecommerce environment.

  • Demonstrable proficiency in statistics and data science - forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.

  • Extensive experience in blending data from several flavours of data source.

  • Google Marketing Platform familiarity - our web analytics suite.

  • Ideas driven - You have the capacity to be open to new ideas and comfortable exploring areas where there are no right answers.

Desirable Attributes :

  • Data Visualisation expert - You can articulate complex data visually, enhancing the value of the insights via Tableau and Google Data Studio.

  • CRM familiarity - Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Marketo

  • Google qualifications/certifications - or equivalent Degree.

  • Familiarity with Agile working methodologies.
