Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Contract Administrator to join our team. Your main duties will be to (i) prepare, negotiate and review various company contracts, including purchases, sales and business partnerships, (ii) work with finance in the risk management area by maintaining and managing our relationships with our insurance companies and brokers and (iii) project manage various projects under the direction of the General Counsel and other attorneys.

The successful candidate in this role will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover and manage potential risks for our company. This individual should also analyze contracts with an eye toward reducing costs and increasing profits, while ensuring compliance with the law. Our ideal candidate has previous experience managing contracts and is familiar with legal requirements and terms of use.

Ultimately, this individual will ensure all our contracts conform to legal and compliance requirements and meet our company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain insurance policies and records;

  • Provide insurance coverage information to the business and maintain employee facing insurance information

  • File and notify insurance companies of claims.

  • Act as liaison with insurance companies for claims process.

  • Project manage projects in the Data Privacy, Litigation, HR, IP and other specialty areas of the law.

  • Work on contract amendments (both customer facing and author/supplier/vendor facing).

  • Negotiate contract terms with internal and external partners.

  • Review and update existing contracts.

  • Prepare commercial contracts, consultant/vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other contracts using approved forms.

  • Interact with members of sales, order entry, procurement and other departments to resolve issues regarding, and appropriately document, non-standard transactions.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of standard agreements, contractors and other third parties, in conjunction with senior department personnel where necessary.

  • Review customer and/or vendor supplied agreements for compliance with company’s contractual positions and modify as appropriate.

  • Assist in maintaining databases of department's activities.

  • Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts and compliance policies.

  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms.

  • Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract Manager or relevant role.

  • Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts.

  • Familiarity with accounting procedures.

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners.

  • BSc degree in Business Administration; additional qualifications in law are a plus.
