Summary:

  • Analytics and continuous improvement

Position Description:

Reporting into the VP Supply Chain, the Director of Supply Chain Planning is responsible for managing the demand forecasting and supply planning functions for North America products. This individual will be responsible for overseeing delivery of monthly forecasts, engaging with sales and product portfolio teams, developing and implementing supply strategies, coordinating with the Supply Chain Operations team, improving forecast accuracy and driving operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of Demand & Supply Planners – provide day to day leadership and guidance, support ongoing development of careers and skills, resolve issues, etc.

  • Understand and leverage data to better drive coordination and decision making across demand and supply, ensure seamless integration

  • Ensure alignment with corporate strategy

  • Collaborate with SC Operations Team to ensure accountability and seamless hand-offs

  • Lead the development and maintenance of demand and supply planning processes, ensuring consistency across the team

Demand Planning

  • Develop demand plan with target accuracy and improvements, ensuring structured approach to gathering inputs from sales and product portfolio teams

  • Recommend and oversee tuning of planning parameters and product categorization to help drive improvements

Supply Planning

  • Create supply plan based on aggregated demand planning inputs and oversee execution against plan

  • Provide guidance to Planning team on approaches and methods for forecasting and supply plan generation

S&OP

  • Ensure team collaboration in consensus meeting, establish S&OP process and monthly cadence

  • Ensure smooth running of DRM meetings to prepare bottom up forecasts

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Essential Skills/Experience

●Experience in leading team of demand and supply planners

●Demonstrable experience of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) planning and execution within a publishing, e-commerce or retail environment

●Experience conducting capacity and scenario planning

●Demonstrable project management and continuous improvement experience

●Experience working with demand planning platforms and their interfaces to ERPs

●Ability to operationalize strategic initiatives from Executive Team

●Experience collaborating with supply chain operations processes

●Ability to define and implement planning processes including experience leading an Integrated Business Planning process (i.e., S&OP) at the functional and executive level

Desirable Skills/Experience

●Familiarity with value drivers and customer requirements within a print/publishing environment

●Experience in supply chain process improvements including forecasting accuracy, service level and inventory optimization

●Experience of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies including management of 3rd party vendors and suppliers

●Relevant postgraduate qualification and CI certification (e.g., MBA, Masters in Operations/Supply Chain, Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma)

●Experience of deploying and running an S&OP process within a multi ERP environment
