Communities Manager

The Communities Manager will be responsible for managing internal and customer-facing community sites for Pearson’s Learning Services organization. This will involve building and growing a robust community and managing communication activities as the CRM and related systems continue to grow and evolve. The individual chosen for this role will focus on the people side community building.

This role requires working with stakeholders and business leads to develop a deployment roadmap as well as creating and implementing communications plans that maximize customer and employee engagement. The Communities Manager will work to drive faster adoption, greater utilization, and higher engagement.

Responsibilities:

Working under the direction of the Director of Business Technology, this position has the following responsibilities relative to Salesforce.com and related platforms:

  • Manage and grow a community for Pearson’s K12 Learning Services organization

  • Work with stakeholders across Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Service and Support teams to identify and build content to support the platform

  • Drive internal and customer engagement with platform and measure progress

  • Manage communications and engagement strategies for stakeholders and customers.

  • Develop a targeted and integrated messaging strategy for internal and external groups including the communication, leadership engagement and stakeholder management plans.

  • Be an active and visible to project sponsors and executive leaders, program and project leads.

  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and engagement of the communities platform

  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions.

  • Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success.

  • Work with product leads and other Pearson functions to integrate their activities into the overall Community roadmap.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or similar experience.

At least three years Communities, Marketing, and or Social Media experience.

Salesforce CRM knowledge of Community Cloud, Service Cloud or certifications a plus.
