Working as part of a small team within the Product Information department this role will support the Price and Availability Manager. The role will involve working with Product Information and neighbouring teams in Production and Inventory, Customer Services, Sales teams, global Pearson offices, and may have some direct contact with customers and third parties.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Work in shared mailbox to respond to a range of queries from business users eg price updates, price clarifications, VAT queries, market restriction adjustments, and updating system data as required.

  • Perform analysis if needed, and carry out product-level data updates to systems, in line with policies and procedures, to improve data integrity, completeness, and timeliness, with a specific focus on pricing and market rights/refer embargoes. Data entry work will be a mixture of manual and data loader techniques.

  • Carry out established routine tasks as agreed with Line Manager

  • Support routine price exercises eg price review and year end tasks

  • Assist team in carrying out User Acceptance Testing when required

  • Provide cover to monitor the Pearson InfoCentre Mailbox when colleagues are absent. This may involve issuing invitations to new users or assisting new users when they are setting up their reports.

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Good organisation skills

  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team

  • Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets, and comfortable using GoogleDrive shared documents

  • Respect for and ability to meet deadlines

Desirable Skills:

Previous experience in any environment handling data would be helpful

Familiar with working in Oracle R12 relevant but not essential
