North and West Africa Sales are part of Core Markets (a footprint that covers more than 100 countries). The role of Sales and Marketing Executive is the first point of contact for customers in North and West Africa and takes customers from initial contact enquiring about Pearson products to purchasing and using the products with
The Sales & Marketing Executive will:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers,
potential customers and Pearson staff in North & West Africa
Support the Sales Director
Process orders via the Manila and Cairo Hubs
Reply to all customer queries and complaints in
a timely manner
- Arrange travel/hotels etc. and assist in the
preparation of PowerPoint slides for teacher trainers
- Process vendor invoices through Coupa system
(this may also involve opening new vendor accounts)
- Arrange exhibitions/conferences and, on
occasion, represent Pearson at these events
- Build a strong relationship with internal
departments e.g. Customer Services, Production, Inventory, LoBs etc.
Essential Skills and Characteristics
Strong Customer Service experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time-management and organisational skills
Ability to work on own initiative as remote from Sales Director
Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Google Mail
Ability to learn internal systems e.g. Oracle, Coupa etc.
Good telephone manner
