Pearson Assessment Programs Coordinator in Hadley, Massachusetts
At Evaluation Systems we help design and deploy educator workforce solutions so every learner has capable educators. The Assessment Programs Coordinator is a member of the Assessment Operations Group, which is a Project Management Organization that directly supports our state programs. In this role, you will assist in the implementation of development projects for large-scale, high-stakes educator certification testing programs. You will be responsible for guiding the execution of all project activities to delivery and serving as a resource to project staff and state education agency clients. Success in this role requires a strong client focus, excellent verbal and written communication skills, successful problem-solving approach to client support, and the ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously.
The Assessment Programs Coordinator will serve in a hybrid remote / office format working remotely with in-office activities required, as needed, in Pearson’s Hadley, MA office. The flexibility to adjust hours, when needed, to support our west coast clients is required.
Designs, guides the development of, and reviews all major project components of test development and test administration (e.g., test materials review conferences, field tests, test preparation resources).
Produces and monitors short and long-term project plans (e.g., project specification packages, client planning documents, production schedules).
Maintains client contact.
Prepares for, travels on behalf of the organization to, handles logistics for, and facilitates project-related conferences (e.g., test materials review conferences).
Conducts internal and client-facing planning meetings and workshops; may deliver online presentations.
Guides, reviews and maintains quality control on all major project products (e.g., reports, tests).
Ensures effective organization and coordination of all project tasks.
Analyzes and resolves problems arising from management of multi-faceted projects; updates internal team members on status and progress of projects.
Provides input regarding project staffing plans and the delegation/assignment of project responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree is required, Master's/advanced degree is preferred
Experience in working as part of a project team
Demonstrated experience in technical writing and client correspondence
Proven experience in meeting facilitation including agenda setting, meeting management and minutes

Ability to analyze issues, identify root cause, and drive to resolution
Ability to set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and produce high-quality and accurate work under time constraints
Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills; demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of the organization, including the ability to work effectively within a project team and across departments
Ability to travel 10% - 20%
Highly proficient in MS Office
Experience with Smartsheet a plus
Experience in higher education environment a plus
Knowledge of principles of educational testing and of test development and administration is preferred
