Pearson Learning Services (K-12) is looking to add a Financial Analyst to our highly paced and energetic team. This role will be based in our Glenview location and will support our Math and Intervention teams. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager in this location.
In this position you will be responsible for partnering with the VP of Development and their respective teams on building a capital investment plan for future projects. You will monitor actual financial performance, compare to budget and/or forecast projections, analyze and interpret variances and prepare a variety of reports. You will also play an important role between finance and development teams.
Work with various development teams to establish and maintain a Project Investment Budget
Track, analyze and approve PO’s based on approved budget
Develop and maintain relationships with the business owners
Quarterly and annual operating expense budgeting
Report monthly results, provide variance analysis and explanations
Provide standard and ad-hoc analysis and reporting
Provide analysis and financial support to leadership to achieve financial goals
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance
A minimum of 2 years related accounting and finance experience
Strong computer skills including financial analysis in Microsoft Excel
Proven strong financial analysis skills, self-starter, pro-active, detail-oriented, with demonstrated problem-solving skills and strong communication
