Pearson is constantly looking to add to our AMAZING team! Presently, we are searching for an exceptionally skilled Director of Web Marketing , an online business leader to own and evolve our web presence. The Director, Web Marketing is responsible for driving the future strategic direction of the Learning Services web presence and evolving/maintaining the supporting the website's technical infrastructure.

As the Director of Web Marketing, you will be the key strategic and tactical driver of all web marketing efforts in order to meet the needs of the business. Key objectives to be achieved include but not be limited to:

  • leverage the web presence to grow the brand

  • efficiently drive leads and ecommerce sales

  • enable account based marketing activities

  • evolve our website infrastructure

In this important role, you will own/maintain/enhance all technical aspects of the web presence which would include all key applications and platforms necessary to create a dynamic, engaging experience for our customers. This is an ideal role for someone with a history of success in running an established web business, who has experience with both B2B and B2C models, and who is interested in building and accelerating a new vision that involves reimagining, creating and implementing a successful strategy!

This opportunity is located at our Chandler, AZ, Boston, MA, Glenview, IL, or Hoboken, NJ office site. Additional remote locations may be considered for this position.

Here is what you will get to do:

  • Develop Web Marketing Strategies to impact business imperatives

  • Manage full time team of developers, designers and production team members

  • Manage Vendor relationships, contracts and invoices; empower managers to manage where appropriate

  • Train and develop fully functional web development team; mentor and empower managers to run their teams, projects and systems

  • Create, develop, execute and maintain web marketing roadmap for all web properties including support for all digital marketing campaign and content marketing efforts

  • Create and manage team budget

  • Manage infrastructure evolutions, including up and downstream connections

  • Deploy and manage all web analytic applications

  • Continually evolve our search engine optimization efforts to keep up with the latest algorithm changes

  • Manage and enhance all internal customer facing web marketing applications

Qualifications

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • A Visionary! Experience with creating, reimagining and successfully executing strategic plans to build a powerful web presence

  • An Entrepreneur! Strength in building from the ground up which includes:

-Constructing fresh branding initiatives

-Guiding users through a new and inviting journey

-Working with various web platforms

  • A Brave Leader! Leadership abilities that include consistent communication and people development; leading through uncharted territory

-Proven ability to collaborate, partner and drive change through

influence

-Strong analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills

-Comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity as the complexity and

balance of our transition continuously evolves

  • 5 years’ exp maintaining and evolving website infrastructure including content management systems, product marketing databases, ecommerce platforms, analytics platforms

  • 5 years managing an online business

  • Experience with both B2B and B2C business models

  • 5 years managing cross functional team; proven results on efficiencies and cohesiveness

  • Experience developing personas and user journeys

  • Exp with website information architecture and the execution of usability studies

  • Working knowledge of social media, paid digital advertising, email marketing and technical understanding of search engine optimization; successful results driving customer awareness/engagement, leads, and ecommerce sales

Additional Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Educational publishing field experience a plus!
