PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, build, maintain and support the Apigee infrastructure

  • Maintain and support the Google API Gateway infrastructure

  • Automate a lot of the manual tasks that are currently being performed (install, configure, apply patching, etc…) using Concourse and/or Ansible

  • Apigee management API knowledge

  • Work on the installations of Apigee On-Prem and LDAP integration

  • Facilitate DR (Disaster Recovery) planning and exercises to ensure that the team are fully prepared in the event of a catastrophe

  • Lead Capacity Planning and Management activities to ensure that the Apigee platform will be able to handle current and additional transactions in the future

  • Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to the Apigee platform.

  • Lead root cause analysis session to understand what causes particular issues in Production and come up with solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future

  • Ensure documentation is created and remain updated for Apigee.

  • Build relationship with the client application teams to understand their business needs and requirements for the Apigee Platform and coach them on how to use the platform to the full extent.

  • Work with Apigee support for any issues/questions related to product

  • Ansible Automation experience, Creating playbooks if needed

  • Linux OS knowledge and support

  • Automation/orchestration scripting

  • Good in Change management process etc

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College Degree with a concentration in Computer Science or related area of study

  • Experience on administration or development using APIGEE

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn and gain exposure to new technologies

  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated organization skills, and good critical thinking and decision-making skills

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology is a plus

  • Experience in any of the following areas would be a plus:

  • Admin/DevOps in AWS or Google Cloud

  • IBM Integration BUS (IIB/WMB)

  • Software Development Skills (Java, Python, etc.)

  • Relational Database Experience (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.)

  • Exposure to ERP Applications (SAP, Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, etc.)

  • Data Analysis

  • End-User Support

  • DevOps

  • Administration
