Pearson Senior Oracle Applications Lead in Durham, North Carolina

Pearson is seeking highly motivated individuals with sound Oracle Applications background to join our Digital & Technology division. We take continuous learning to heart. We are looking for a someone with strong Oracle EBS experience.

Pearson is looking for Oracle ERP Technical or Functional Analyst to join or global team. In this role, you will work with resources across the globe and partner with business customers, and other technical teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in few of these eBusiness products: Order Management (OM), Logistics (INV, WM), Procurement (PO), Manufacturing (WIP, BOM, Quality), Performance Comp/payroll/OTL.\

  • Willingness to explore, learn and keep up with new functionality introduced by Oracle and make recommendations.

  • Ability to communicate professionally, clearly, and affectively to different target audiences and stakeholders including C-Level executives.

  • Leading global resources and providing guidance daily on priorities and solution design.

  • Ensure the clean deployment of solutions, partnering with SMEs on testing and scheduling releases through appropriate channels.

  • Monitoring the overall status of the work, managing escalations, and providing additional support during business peak seasons.

  • Preparing and presenting business reviews with stakeholders.

  • Build partnerships with Pearson internal business customers, technical teams, and vendors.

  • Proactive in seeking information, challenging norms, and driving efficiency.

  • Prepare process flows, requirement documents, user training, and on-boarding documents to support upcoming projects and enhancements.

  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively assess and resolve issues and problems with a high level of internal drive and professional accountability.

  • Strong customer service bias with the ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.

Key Skills/ Experience:

  • 8+ Years of demonstrable hands-on experience implementing and or supporting Oracle Order Management/SCM/Payroll.

  • 5+ Years of demonstrable hands-on experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite modules in one or more of the areas: Order Management, Supply Chain, or Procurement.

  • Technically proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Change Management process.

  • Proficient in system configuration, with hands on experience in system setup including personalisation, RICE components

  • Support Oracle upgrades or point releases with experience involving impact analysis and regression testing.

  • Experience working in a matrixed and virtual environment with a global customer base and different cultures.
