The Data Management Analyst will join the Master Data Management department to contribute to Pearson’s data transformation. You will be responsible for the functional management of the customer and product dimension at Pearson, onboarding legacy customer and product data into the MDM solution, harmonization of business rules and processes, remediation of data issues, and the establishment of policies and processes in conjunction with the business stewards at Pearson.
As a Data Management Analyst, you will work closely with the Business Data Stewards and IT teams profiling data sources, identifying quality metrics, guiding root cause analysis, and leading continuous improvement at Pearson.
Responsibilities
Ongoing subject matter expert of enterprise data for different business domains such as customer, product, etc.
Collaborate with business subject matter experts and data stewards to define data standards, definitions, checklists, guidelines, etc.
Harmonize data business rules and processes across the enterprise in support of standardized customer and product information
Define and provide ongoing enhancement of the data quality attributes, data quality dimensions, data quality metrics and data quality scoring and reporting
Assure data and business rule standards are documented via SOPs and adhered across the organization
Identify and remediate data issues through leading improvement teams striving to standardize business rules across the organization
Lead in the establishment of data stewardship processes and tools as it relates to enterprise data management and data standardization
Ability to prioritize data quality issues with accountability for remediation in a timely manner
Provide data analysis resulting in improvement recommendations
Provide training promoting best practices, enable standard practices, and communicate value to the business
Document the return on investment of data quality activities
Coordinate requirements with key stakeholders on data archival needs.

Qualifications
Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar discipline
3-5 years of experience with data stewardship, data quality, and data analysis
3-5 years experience defining and implementing data quality scorecards with business outcome impacts
Must have experience working in Medium to Large scale data quality/ data governance environments.
Proven ability to document business requirements related to data function and rules
Experience with Informatica products (Example: Axon, EDC, IDQ, Address doctor etc)
Demonstrated ability to translate and transform business requirement rules into workflows in IDQ
Must be able to create scripts as needed to schedule and run tasks
Ability to document data flows and processes
Experienced in using the data quality tools (Example: Informatica Data Quality, IBM InfoSphere QualityStage, Trillium, Atacama, etc.)
Strong experience in executing the Data Profiling for a large volume of data and review the results to come up with the Data Quality rules to manage the data
Working experience with any Relational Database and the ability to write stored procedures and functions
Excellent at creating stored procedures, functions, packages, database triggers, and other database objects using SQL
Experience writing complex queries using advanced SQL concepts
Experience in operating a data incident management process as a service
Proven written skills in the documentation of data requirements, SOPS, and Service Agreements
Experience with data root cause analysis and cross-functional resolution of data issues
Continuous process improvement, measurement, and change adoption experience in data management
Experience in MDM Match and merge concepts, Informatica Address doctor, and IDQ match algorithms.
