Pearson is looking for a dynamic Technology Communications Analyst to join its Digital & Technology (D&T) team in Durham, NC. This position will support the development and execution of strategic communication plans, foster effective communication within the organization, and develop key communication materials primarily for internal audiences. The successful candidate will be proactive and creative who can collaborate cross-functionally to support communications-focused projects and deliver through a variety of channels. This position is located in Durham, N.C., with core work hours in the Eastern time zone. Expectation that individual will primarily be in the office at a minimum on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation and implementation of communication strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
Draft non-technical communication materials including newsletters, user guides, social media posts, internal announcements, spotlights, articles, etc.
Provide editorial input on messaging and influence stakeholders to ensure communication is timely, clear, and consistent.
Independently develop communications materials for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Work with leadership to ensure alignment, engagement, and collaboration across D&T and the larger Pearson organization.
Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify communication needs, messages, and target audiences.
Manage and maintain internal communication platforms, ensuring timely and relevant distribution of information.
Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and support to team members on internal communication best practices and strategies.
Report project progress, key milestones, and challenges to leadership.
Work cross-functionally with varying levels of seniority to collect requirements, execute projects, and report outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in communications, project management, consulting, business operations, or a similar role preferably within a technology environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
SharePoint and graphic design experience preferred.
