Team

The Product Data team in Pearson’s Global Product organization is a global, central resource managing hundreds of product data attributes for millions of products world-wide, to ensure they are valid, accurate, complete, and compliant.

The Global Product Data Services (PDS) team, within Product Data, is responsible for customer satisfaction related to product data, acting as a single point of contact for incoming requests and reports of issues. The team supports user communities and business units with the processes of product creation and maintenance, creation of digital subscriptions, and resolution of issues related to product data or digital subscription.

In addition, working closely with the Product Data Platform (PDP) team and the Product Data Management (PDM) team, the PDS provides technology and workflow requirements to remediate issues and drive optimization and innovation.

Role Description

We are looking for a driven, organized, high-energy and effective leader to join our Product Data team. The Associate Product Data Analyst, Product Data Services works closely with assigned Business stakeholders and related technology teams to support the optimization of our enterprise Oracle systems and the resolution of issues related to product data. The successful candidate will be working closely with technology, product management, data, and business intelligence teams across the world to support their product data management requirements.

This position requires independent problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, a passion for data, a solid grasp of technology, notably business information systems, and above all - a strong service mindedness that directly translates to customer (i.e. adjacent teams and consuming systems) satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Working within ServiceNow to triage MyHelp tickets related to product data issues.

  • Participating in regular Support calls with stakeholders and technical teams to identify issues and work towards timely resolutions of these issues.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and technical teams in supporting platform training and resolving technical issues 

  • Continuously updating Documentation to ensure the the most up-to-date information.

  • Provide a high level of support throughout the onboarding of new business units onto the product creation process 

  • Drive continuous improvement for global and local products in support of Pearson's portfolio strategy 

  • Channel partner / Onix / Marketing feeds support, monitoring  and troubleshooting

  • Collaborate with the necessary teams to more quickly identify root cause and needed steps for resolution 

  • Identify gaps and possible solutions to issues that arise based on experience in Pearson systems as well as critical thinking, judgment and precedents. 

  • Work within Pearson systems to confirm all information is available and accurate and in the appropriate systems to ensure proper ordering, printing, delivery and reporting. 

  • Identify the need for improvements to existing work processes to allow for greater efficiency and accuracy within our team as well as to positively impact our internal stakeholders.   

  • Work closely with our Product Management team to assist with the identification and prioritization of new requirements, enhancements and bugs; provide feedback and suggest improvements on user experience based on individual use as well as share feedback from internal stakeholders.  

  • Triages, researches and assigns incoming requests and reported issues

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in the publishing or technology industry

  • Experience working with technical or product management teams 

  • Media/technical project management and/or customer technical support experience desired
