Pearson Applications Analyst in Durham, North Carolina

Job Description

  • Acts as a techno-functional analyst in one of our strategic platforms such as Oracle Applications, Hyperion Financial Management, ServiceNow

  • Builds partnerships with Pearson internal business customers, technical teams, and vendors.

  • Works in a global organization to support a couple of business domains such asGeneral Ledger, Revenue Recognition, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Supply Chain, Financial Planning, Financial Reporting, Shipping, Pricing, Accounts Receivable, IT Service Level Managements

  • Suggests process improvements, standardizations, and optimizations to business and technical processes.

  • Prepare process flows, requirement documents, user training, and on-boarding documents to support upcoming projects and enhancements.

  • Manages incidents in Production platform.

  • Creates process flows, requirement documents, user training, and on-boarding documents to support upcoming projects and enhancements.



  • Good programming language experience like JavaScript, Angular, HTML

  • Knowledge or experience in: Workflow, SQL Loaders, API’s, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, Unix Shell Scripts, OAF and XML Publisher

  • Knowldge with Automation, chatbots, machine learning is a plus.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others.

  • Self-Motivated / Team player with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
