The Corporate sector hold a number of opportunities for Pearson in Middle East, especially with the recent focus on employability and the launch of Pearson Professional.
Past years have been an encouraging start in exploring the corporate sector with English, vocational, and short courses.
Business Development to enable direct Sales of Pearson Products/Services and Solutions to the corporate sector as well as developing relationship with agencies and industry bodies that might influences our sales into the corporate market in Middle East.
The Business Development Manager identifies, develops and manages client relationships in selected markets within Middle East with the purpose of achieving financial targets and developing, maintaining and expanding relationships with strategic customers.
The Business Development Manager represents Pearson’s range of corporate products and services while ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met.
Own the ME target for the Corporate sector sales achieving target with the support of product experts (Short courses, Assessment, English, etc..)
Gain high level understanding of Governments priorities and initiatives for employability in the Middle East and the impact on corporates
Assess the corporate sector needs in term of English and training
Support the solution team in building the Corporate holistic solution by sharing market insights
Support the Head of Corporate in Building and maintaining a 1 and 3 years strategic and operational plan for corporates in Middle East covering performance objectives, milestones, market, competition, segments, products and go to market
Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations
Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts and proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
Report and track Corporate sales by account and by product
Ensure full usage of CRM tool, data coverage and mapping of key contacts, companies and products for all accounts
New strong focus of Pearson strategy and hence large expectations and time pressure
Growing visibility of Pearson in the Corporate Ecosystem
Growing existing relations with the Corporate sector
Entrepreneurial spirit, creative and very proactive.

Very good Command of English Language.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and demonstrated ability to manage professional relationships across a variety of stakeholder groups
Proven ability to sell and negotiate
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while sticking to deadlines
Ability to work in dependently and generate outcomes
Strong relations across Government bodies, and corporate sector
Strong persuasive and influencing skills.
Understanding of corporate sector decision making and purchasing
Ability to work in matrix organization involving several international stakeholders.
Excellent track record of institutional selling to Corporates, ideally in training and learning.
Experience in training delivery is strongly preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of trends in Corporate Learning
Knowledge of Arabic language
Experience in training delivery
Education, Qualifications & Training
- BSc or BA from a reputable University
- MBA from a reputable university
- 5 years Institutional Sales experience
- Management consulting experience
- Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Salesforce or any CRM tools
