Job Summary

As a Higher Education Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing the revenue and usage of Pearson’s industry leading digital products and platforms. You are a highly motivated and analytically minded individual with strong customer facing skills.  You go above and beyond in servicing your customer base and understanding their challenges.  You apply your knowledge of Pearson’s portfolio to inform customers of the continuous improvements in our products and how to best leverage them to engage and inspire their students.​

You are comfortable with exceeding growth targets and enthusiastic about our products.  You know the potential for better learning outcomes when digital tools are used to activate learning.  You’re a self-motivated individual, competitive and comfortable pushing past comfort zones and being resilient. ​​ In this role, your ability to make long and lasting connections with Pearson customers will be invaluable to creating a customer experience driven by their desired outcomes.  You will also be the connection with our existing customers to drive renewal and retention and to align their needs to the best possible Pearson solution.​

In this role you will be responsible for creating strategic plans, focusing on winning new business, retaining, and up selling base business, owning the end-to-end sales process, and leveraging internal teams to ensure customers are set up for long term success with digital learning solutions. ​

Main accountabilities

  • Promoting English-language education courseware to professors and lecturers at universities and universities of applied sciences. You are expected to proactively ensure and maintaining the existing customer relations, while building and expanding new relations;

  • Advising lecturers and educational institutions on digital learning solutions and their implementation, by facilitating effective advisory and sales consultations

  • Fully responsible for commercial marketing in a defined region, with the aim of growing the market share;

  • Maintaining a SalesForce database of the needs of Academics and students and the development within educational institutions, and feeding this market information back to Pearson’s editors and marketing department.

Qualifications

  • Master degree University and/or higher professional level;

  • 3+ years of Sales experience with a proven track record of achievements;

  • Knowledge of the academic/education market and sales experience;

  • Competitive desire to exceed goals and grow territory;

  • Strong business planning skills, and able to work independently and self-motivated;

  • Excelllent oral and written skills in Danish, Swedish and English is a must;

  • Experienced in working in SalesForce;

  • Based in Denmark;

  • Willingness to travel;

  • Driving License, a valid driving licence is essential due to travels in the region.

You will be working in a team of 12 highly independent and experienced colleagues. This position is full-time (37 hours a week), home based, with a competitive salary, an attractive bonus scheme and car allowance.
