Pearson Training Operations Manager in Columbia, South Carolina

The Training Operations Manager works as a critical member of a cross-functional team. This position is responsible for the coordination and management of activities across groups and systems supporting Clinical Training Operations. Familiarity with matrix organizations, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build productive relationships and lead teams, and the ability to exercise independent judgment are all important skills for this position.

Overall Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develops and supports plans and strategies for new training offerings.

  • Evaluate LMS and eLearning solutions to determine fit to strategy.

  • Assumes responsibility for managing multiple projects with varying schedules, scope, and life cycles.

  • Provides direction and manages the implementation of strategies and actions for customer deliverables.

  • Develops project requirements and operations specifications documentation for the delivery of their projects.

  • Applies methods and procedures for controlling costs and other related elements to ensure products and services are provided in a cost-effective and timely manner.

  • Works with Sales, Marketing, Product Managers, CX- and directly with customers - to determine customer requirements, needs, and schedules.

  • Assists Market Development management and leadership in their assigned tasks.

  • Analyzes project performance identifies inefficiencies and recommends improvements.

  • Performs required project administration and control duties.

  • Compiles appropriate reports on assigned activities as requested.

  • Provides information to internal cross-functional teams regarding project status, schedules, issues, issue resolution, risks, and risk mitigation.

  • May identify and manage scope changes in collaboration with Market Development personnel.

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is 80-90k. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Qualifications - Required

Education, Skills, and Knowledge

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

· Five or more years of project management experience

· Five or more years of people management experience

· Knowledge and use of project management tools and applications required

· Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required

· Excellent organization skills required

Qualifications – Preferred

Education, Skills, and Knowledge

· Graduate degree in Speech Pathology, OT, Psychology, or related field

· Certification in eLearning or Instructional Design

· Change Management experience
