Position Summary:

Working primarily from our office in Columbia, MD, the Implementation Analyst will be a key member of the Family Analytic’s team that drives strategic recommendations to improve marketing and lead generation efforts in support of Pearson Online & Blended Learning's student enrollment goals. This role is heavily involved in ensuring the success of the Analytics Team by implementing seamless Google Analytics tagging and tracking through Google Tag Manager. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the instrumentation of websites/apps using GA and GTM to ensure proper measurement is in place to discover and clearly communicate actionable digital insights to a range of stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Online & Blended Learning sites are effectively (and accurately) tagged for reporting and analytical capabilities by managing the testing, QA, QC, debugging and documentation of tagging and tracking code to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all online and web analytics data.

  • Proactively identify current and emerging gaps in the digital analytics data capture strategy and provide recommendations to address and evolve capabilities.

  • Guide key stakeholders in the appropriate implementation and validation of new tracking requirements and fixes, and ensure existing tracking remains intact.

  • Stay abreast of emerging web measurement tools, strategies and trends; continue to educate self analytically, technically and technologically

  • Build strong relationships with internal teammates across key departments including Marketing, IT, Creative and UX as well as with external agency partners

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years implementing Google Analytics required

  • 2-5 years experience with a tag management platform required (GTM preferred)

  • Experience in working with both manual and tag management analytics implantations and common troubleshooting tools, including Developer Tools, Tag Assistant, or GA Debug

  • Knowledge of Web markup and front-end Web development in HTML5, CSS3, or JavaScript

  • Experience with analytics strategies across multiple sites and apps, diverse platforms, and high-traffic sites preferred

  • Knowledge of general Web best practices in SEM, SEO, and UX

  • Experience with BigQuery is a plus

Capabilities:

  • A team player with the ability to communicate effectively, influence cross-functionally and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries is required

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Technical knowledge of web analytics, including website and URL tagging and tracking

  • Ability to communicate requirements to web developers

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments concurrently, perform well under pressure, and meet deadlines, while ensuring acute attention to detail and accuracy

  • Project management skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
