Leadership of Consumer Insights functions across Pearson Online & Blended Learning.
Responsible for talent development and management across OBL Customer Insights.
Lead partner to OBL executive team for all Consumer Insights initiatives.
Creation of conceptual platforms enabling the teams to unravel opportunities to disrupt mature and emerging categories through relevant insights. The application of these platforms should be long and medium term based.
Synthesizing trends coming from multiple sources and identifying which ones should we focus on. This is a new and critical milestone at this point in time when we need to inspire the organization and move them towards focusing on bigger bets early on to make sure we are first in market.
Recommend, create and execute learning plans for the different business needs in a collaborative manner. This includes identifying research partners in the industry that fulfill the needs of non-standard research methodologies.
Enable the training and education of all business teams regarding Consumer and Market Insights, both through formal/forum training as well as on-the-spot coaching.
While reporting to the VP, Customer Insights & Analytics, Director is expected to display independence on the day-to-day, alignment of key stakeholders for each project and accountability for budget management choices.
Proven experience in applying Market Research methodologies for Innovation. Even if the individual has strong research experience, we prioritize business knowledge over technical capabilities.
Strong business acumen that would enable turning insights into actionable recommendations. The individual must have previous brand building experience.
Strong ability to turn insights into action through knowledge generation and activation (not just data collection)
Proven analytical capabilities beyond problem solving.
Top class collaboration to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
Ability to connect the dots and identify trends, present them in an engaging way and drive action from the working teams.

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $150K-170K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
