Position Summary :
Working primarily from our office in Columbia, MD, the Creative Services Manager will report directly into the Vice President, Marketing and will be responsible and accountable for managing and leading an internal team of designers, writers and external creative agencies to deliver creative assets for acquisition, nurture and retention marketing campaigns. The Creative Services Manager is also accountable for the design and execution of creative deadlines through all media including program guide, website, print, direct mail, advertising and other promotional channels.

Primary Responsibilities :
Responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of creative projects -- from inception to completion -- as well as liaising between our internal creative team and various key departments and stakeholders throughout the company
Manage the asset production queue and effectively communicate timelines and progress to stakeholders
Work closely with internal teams to create/refine project documentation for projects that include but are not limited to: advertising campaigns, content development, websites, email, SEM, social media, events, print collateral, customer care, etc...
Establish and maintain a creative services process to support marketing channel managers with their campaigns across all three lines of business (partner schools, partner programs, iNaCA)
Manage internal designers and copywriters to ensure the team meets their deadlines
Partner with Brand team lead to develop and maintain brand guidelines across all lines of business including visual identity, tone, voice, etc...
Work with channel managers to understand how creative performs in-market through post-campaign analysis to refine existing and future tactics
Establish ongoing relationships with creative services teams across Pearson (domestic and global) to ensure we’re coordinated and being as efficient as possible
Plan and manage any freelancers, vendors or outsourced capabilities as needed
Manage budget for the team
General Responsibilities :
Champion our internal creative process and utilize a project management software system to track workloads
Responsible for ensuring effective cross-functional communication between the Creative Services team and other teams throughout the company.
Contribute to the creative process and creation of assets to ensure they are in line with the approved marketing briefs and strategies
Ensure legal compliance and reinforce brand guidelines across all collateral
Represent the Creative Services team in various cross-functional meetings such as marketing kick-offs, department touch-bases, timeline reviews, and more.
Establish realistic timelines and push back when needed

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or other related field
5 years of creative/marketing agency and high volume creative project management experience
Incredibly organized with a natural drive to follow every project, big or small, to completion.
Has a passion for mentorship and aspirations to lead and grow the Creative Services team.
Is both creative and business-minded and knows how to talk to both sides of the table.
Understands that deadlines and on time delivery of assets with the ability to change gears on the fly and reprioritize deadlines quickly when needed is critical to success.
Has an innate curiosity, aptitude and hands-on approach.
Has a deep understanding of brands and the ability to create and communicate in ways that align with each brand’s unique vision to drive brand engagement.
Is a strong communicator, able to speak comfortably and clearly to key stakeholders and department leads.
Has the energy and drive to deliver the best work in the industry and an adaptability to a range of time and budget constraints.
Is a self-starter with a strong aptitude for solving problems individually and in teams, with the ability to propose alternative, improved solutions when possible.
