About the job

Job Purpose

The Team Lead-Change Management is responsible for executing the Change Management process for Technology to support the business globally. This position will play a key role in helping projects (change initiatives) meet business, schedule and budget objectives, including changes to business processes, systems and technologies. The primary focus will be reviewing and controlling of production changes while ensuring minimal business impact. Further he/she will provide process/technical leadership for Change Managers on daily basis. The Team Lead-Change Management will work to drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting internal and external customers of the organization such that business requirements are achieved. This is a fast-paced job that requires quick response, decision making and leadership capabilities.

Main responsibilities

  • Coordinating day-to-day execution of the Change Management process.

  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings by acting as a change reviewer/approver for the scheduled changes.

  • Leading and guiding a group of Change Managers from different regions with different levels of seniority and functional experience to meet the demands of the customer.

  • Identify required changes to the process and implements approved process changes. Assist in the development of change workflow to facilitate the process.

  • Managing and measuring work with empirical metrics.

  • Liaising with Service Delivery Directors / Managers on planning and coordination.

  • Ensure that Changes are communicated in a timely manner.

  • Communicate Change Management process changes to the organization.

  • Ensure post review of changes to evaluate if the change was successfully implemented and that the change process was followed.

  • Ensure creation and distribution of Change Management reports including incidents caused by changes, incidents resolved by changes, successful and failed changes.

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the Change Management process.

  • Provide continual mentoring to the Tech Support teams in the Change Management process.

Qualifications

About you

Essential skills, qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent qualification

  • 7 years of experience in the industry and 2 years in a similar capacity with solid understanding of ITIL process.

  • ITIL Foundation certification

  • Experience and sound knowledge on change management principles and methodologies.

  • Experience with large-scale organizational change effort.

  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.

  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.

  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.

  • Strong analytical and decision making abilities.

  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.

  • Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal.

  • Development and software configuration skills.

Differentiator Competencies

  • ITIL Intermediate Level Certifications (Service Transition/Release Control & Validation etc.)

  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master) Certification

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) qualification
