Senior Program Manager
Senior Program Manager will own software program/project delivery and people aspects within the program/project portfolio that come under his/her purview. He/She should provide leadership to Program Managers, Project Managers at various levels within the organization. Typically this encompasses directly managing several Project/Program Managers. This position will be accountable for driving delivery rigor, product roadmap delivery assurance, program/project management process and practice aspects in the Sri Lanka organization.
The Senior Program Manager will deal with PMO staffing issues, including employee issues, counseling, performance appraisals, etc and will also provide recommendations on recruitment, performance management and remunerations. He/she will also ensure goals are set for Program Managers/Project Managers and they are meeting the same.
Senior Program Manager should work closely with their cross-functional counterparts in SL and different locations and Head of Departments (HoDs) to ensure overall PMO & Sri Lanka organizational goals are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Providing overall delivery leadership to multiple program teams across the organization
Management of Program Managers and Project Managers
Engage in strategic development of the division with Senior Management
Setting and driving goals for Sri Lanka PMO team
Promote innovation and drive key initiatives for the PMO function in SL
Perform and progressively refine stakeholder management to mitigate surprises
Champions Agile/software delivery practices and ensures teams are getting better at continuous learning and adheres to high delivery rigor standards
Working with PMO team and cross functional stakeholders to ensure quality standards are maintained and program roadmaps are delivered on time and within budget
Ensure production stability, scalability, performance and security requirements are met so that defined levels of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are delivered
Maintains and manages the delivery metrics and SL specific metrics required for reviews and any course correction.
Conflict resolution and escalation management of programs/projects run in Sri Lanka
Build and maintain strong partnerships with PMO, Dev senior management, QE senior management, Product Management & TechOps management to execute the different portfolios run within the Sri Lanka office
Work with SL Management and HR on the people management aspects for SL resources such as appraisals, interviews, identify and arrange trainings etc.
Build and retain productive teams through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, transition and career management
Work with SL Management and participate actively on initiatives taken by them to make SL team successful
Provide periodic PMO reports to senior leadership team

Key Technical Competencies
Solid understanding and appreciation of variety of software development life-cycle processes and methodologies (Eg. agile and waterfall)
Solid understanding and appreciation of Software lifecycle disciplines
Strong communications skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to be self-motivated and work collaboratively with different divisions of the organization
Scrum Master Certification (CSM)
Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
PRINCE2 or PMP Certification
ITIL/IT Foundation Certification
Education and Experience
Master degree in business administration/management or an equivalent qualification preferred.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computing or Information Technology/Management
Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in software program/project management including at least five (5) years of experience in a senior management role.
