The Senior Privileged User Management (PUM) Engineer will participate in the delivery of a best in class 24 x 7 service to ensure that access to systems is available, timely and at the appropriate level of permissions against a least privilege model. As a 2nd / 3rd level support engineer the individual will provide support with on-boarding, escalation path, coordinate with product vendor.
As a direct report to the Support Manager you will have the following accountabilities:
Perform routine maintenance on the CyberArk platform
Identify opportunities for system optimisation
Participate in on-call rotation as a member of an Incident Response Team (IRT) and respond to emergency calls during non-business hours, as needed
Act as a mentor to junior team members and take an active role in developing internal capability.
Ensure the technical development of team members happens at pace and that services adjust to emerging Industry trends.
Adherence to process, policies and procedures to perform role
Maintenance of technical documentation for CyberArk platforms and services
Expert level understanding of privileged user management concepts and processes
Expert level knowledge and Hands-On experience in deployment, configuration, integration and troubleshooting CyberArk Privileged Account Security (PAS) product suite (Enterprise Password Vault, Password Vault Web Access, Central Policy Manager, Privileged Session Manager, Application Identity Manager, Privileged Threat Analytics)
Knowledge and expertise in the workings of privileged user access within Operating Systems (windows / UNIX), VMware ESXi, Network Devices, Middleware and Databases
Hands-On experience in troubleshooting issues related to privileged account management for target systems like Windows / UNIX servers, VMware ESXi, Network Devices, Middleware and Databases
Experience in troubleshooting CyberArk Privileged Account Security (PAS) product suite integration with the wider eco-system, including ticketing systems (ServiceNow), Active Directory, security logging and monitoring (Splunk), identity and access management (ForgeRock), enterprise monitoring and alerting using SNMP
3-5 years of overall hands-on experience using CyberArk Privileged Account Security (PAS) product suite of which at least 2 years must be using v9.x
3-5 years of hands-on experience in providing CyberArk Privileged Account Security (PAS) BAU level 2 / 3 support
CyberArk Trained and Certified
Experience in the use and troubleshooting of Windows RDP, SSH connections
Experience in the use and troubleshooting of CyberArk Web Service APIs / SDK
Experience operating within a 24x7 operational service Current understanding of Industry trends and emerging threats
Strong understanding of incident response methodologies and technologies
Broad understanding of information security and risk management concepts, standards, planning and controls
Virtualization security technologies
Professional IT Accreditations (CISM, CCSA, CCSE, JNCIA, CCNA, CISSP, CompTIA Security)
Experience with the design and architecture of complex security and IAM solutions.
Working knowledge of any of the IAM products from any of the following vendors: ForgeRock, Oracle, IBM , CA Technologies, Sailpoint, etc
Exposure to security within AWS / Azure cloud services
Exposure to security within DevOps
- Non customer facing role but an ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, and senior leadership, is essential
