This is a new role to work in the Global Workplace Services Design and Engineering team to meet a range of mobility related “business as usual” work and new project implementations, as Pearson work to standardise the mobility provisions and to seek cost efficiencies in the provision of mobility services across the company.

This will role will include, but not be limited to:

●Globally supporting Pearson’s mobile device platforms, including escalation and incident, problem and change

●Enhancing the security for the mobile device platforms

●Implement and support the expanded use of new mobile related technologies

The team the applicant will be joining has a global remit with staff based in multiple regions, so flexibility in working hours is available and may on occasion be required.

Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic technologist who is confident with working to disrupt current technology processes and experiences with the aim to improve our user experience.

Key Responsibilities

●Ongoing development and enhancement of Pearson’s device management platforms including contributing to converged mobile and computer device management

●L3 escalation support for Mobile related incidents and problems

●Testing beta release mobile software and operating system upgrades

●Contributing to security enhancements across Pearsons device estate

●Implementing and support the expanded use of new mobile related technologies

Preferred Skills and Experience

●Knowledge and Experience of Mobile Device Management platforms (Such as MobileIron, InTune, AirWatch) and Telecoms Expense Management Platforms is essential in this role.

●Excellent written and verbal communications, comfortable with interacting with large numbers of internal team members and external stakeholders

●Administrator exposure to SaaS cloud solutions offered in the enterprise and general consumer marketplace, e.g. Google G Suite, Microsoft O365, LucidChart and Smartsheet

●Proven experience of working with a wide range of global clientele - confident in being able to communicate effectively, exploiting all relevant channels

●Highly analytical, data driven and proactive with an attention to detail

●Must possess demonstrated problem solving and cross team collaboration skills.

●Experience of using analytic and reporting tools such as PowerBI

●A self-starter who is able to work on one’s own initiative with a high degree of autonomy

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

●Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

●Technical expertise should include broad knowledge across Microsoft, Apple and Google products and technologies

●Technology agnostic, flexible and adaptive to rapid change

●Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
