Associate Lead - Software Quality Engineering

Pearson Lanka is currently seeking a Lead Software Quality Engineering who will be responsible for

  • Awareness of release process, all SQE artifacts, tools and methodologies in the organization

  • Ability to carry out required testing and test leadership activities within the team with high quality

  • Responsible for On time delivery and timely escalations/update of risks, issues, status and exemptions to leadership

  • Support and monitor Pearson Lanka SQE department goals and make sure those goals are adhered by the team.

  • Follow agile development practice and support QA activities in the organization

  • Adhere to company/project standards and guidelines.

  • Support the Pearson Lanka SQE interview and recruitment process.

  • Participate and coordinate in overall Pearson Lanka testing requirements.

  • Display good leadership skills and maintain team morale while working with other departments collaborative manner

  • Ability mentor and groom junior members to their next level.

  • Ability manage organization level initiatives


  • BSc in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Minimum 8 years of overall experience in Quality Assurance/Engineering

  • Thorough knowledge on Software Quality Assurance and testing.

  • Good understanding in Object oriented concepts and ability derive algorithms

  • Thorough knowledge on Software Quality Assurance and testing.

  • Good knowledge in software development, the software development life-cycle and awareness of the industry trends.

  • Excellent Analytical, Problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Experience in test automation using Selenium or any other tool would be an added advantage.

  • Professional certifications such as ISTQB is desired.
