The Operations Training Specialist is responsible for delivering in person and virtual classes and evaluating training effectiveness within Recruitment Services. The highest priority is the delivery of engaging and effective training programs which leverage the team’s skills to drive success and growth, while reporting on progress of employees under guidance during training periods. This role will also be responsible for working with management, supervisors and associates to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.

Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Share concepts in their simplest form and the convey these lessons using a variety of methods and technologies toprovide continuous sales, systems and ongoing training (to include new and refresh topics).

  • Utilize adult learning principles, including training methods, group dynamics, human behavior, and techniques used in adult education.

  • Deliver engaging training modules.

  • Maintain various training information such as calendars, databases, and attendance records.

  • Assist in the research, development, implementation and alignment of department-wide initiatives and special projects.

  • Oversee enhancements & maintenance of Learning Management System used for internal and external training.

  • Maintain business acumen through regular side-by-side, call monitoring, and touch bases with major stakeholders.

  • Consistently demonstrate Pearson’s core values when interacting and influencing major stakeholders within Recruitment Services.

  • None

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree from an accredited institution in training/development/human resources/sales or equivalent discipline OR combination of education and significant experience. Master’s Degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in management and training an inside sales team while performing in a high-relationship consultative sales process

  • Experience in both sales and trainer roles

  • General knowledge of the higher education industry

  • Expert level proficiency in CRM solutions, MS Office and Consultative Sales Approach

  • Sales management and human relations skills

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Highly motivational, energetic personality

  • Collaborative; builds relationships with others

  • Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings to accommodate students, departmental and company’s needs. This may include working more than 40 hours a week

  • Ability to travel to all locations (including, but not limited to: Chandler, Orlando, Chicago, Toronto) in support of the Recruitment Services department
