Pearson Marketing Data Analyst in Brasov, Romania

As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will generate valuable and predictive insights for our global digital marketing strategy. Your role will be fundamental for our user acquisition growth. You will work closely with Data Engineers in building the right data reporting structures for our business, collect and interpret large data sets, identify trends and develop data visualizations.

If you enjoy diving deep into data and searching for hidden connections, this is the perfect role for you. You will answer requests from business stakeholders but also explore on your own by performing A/B testing and investigating new opportunities for adding value. You will communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people and drive critical business decisions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Generate valuable and predictive insights for digital marketing strategy

  • Work closely with Data Engineers in building data collection, data reporting and data visualizations structures

  • Champion consumer insights and as part of our strategy to deepen consumer understanding and relationships

  • Provide thorough data analysis on the impact of performance marketing campaigns in user acquisition

  • Support data-based decision making via analysis of trends and potential for scaling digital marketing campaigns based on historical data

  • Work closely with colleagues across relevant departments to inform about trends and highlight the relationship between changes in the product and user acquisition patterns

  • Perform A/B testing and investigate new opportunities for adding value

  • Compiling and consolidating data insights and outcomes into actionable items, reports and presentations

  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people

  • Drive critical business decisions

Candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, or related field

  • Proven experience in data analysis, working with BI tools

  • Solid experience with mobile app-subscription business models

  • Proficiency in mobile and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google PlayConsole, App Store Connect, etc.)

  • Good knowledge of specific tools for data analysis, like Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar ones

  • Strong ability to articulate results and ideas in a concise manner using a variety of media and formats, be persuasive and convincing in front of a challenging audience 

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Ambition and drive for quality and results

  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to operate effectively in a global role 

  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment 

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple workflows and stakeholders 

  • Good time management and organizational skills 

  • Attention to detail and capacity to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload 

  • Positive, collaborative, can-do attitude 

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with extensive experience in using Excel to analyze and cross-reference data 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English language is a must, foreign languages are a plus
