Pearson UX Product Designer in Boston, Massachusetts

Mid-Level UX Product Designer

We’re looking for a mid-level UX Product Designer to support the design and development of a digital testing experience that directly supports learners. You'll partner closely with our design, product, and engineering teams and will be charged with rapidly improving the current experience. You will be challenged in an organization that values vision, execution, and persistence. You will take ownership of our product by solving complex problems in simple, elegant ways.

Key Accountabilities

  • Articulate and deliver design artifacts including wireframes, prototypes, user flow diagrams, and information architecture for web and mobile experiences

  • Design and execute on various areas within our product simultaneously

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams from concept through delivery and beyond

  • Lead a research-focused effort of rapid iteration, ensuring usability and product consistency

  • Understanding and advocating for all user needs clearly and concisely amongst a variety of audiences from peers to leadership

  • Define, measure, and ingest data to identify success, opportunities, and business impact

  • Think holistically about the user journey and product and learner ecosystem

  • Contribute to an open and collaborative UX culture

Your online portfolio should demonstrate

  • Ability to design across multiple channels, web and native

  • Years of relevant design experience

  • A personal design process including user research and evidence-based design as well as final deliverables

  • Clear understanding of information architecture

  • Ideally: an area of expertise – Accessibility, Research, Motion

  • Proven experience in:

  • Partnering directly with UX Product Designers, Product Managers, and Front-End Developers

  • Current design tools including Figma

  • Articulating design rationale concisely and effectively

  • Working in an Agile, lean UX, and mobile-first environment

  • Understanding the relationship of visual, interaction, and content disciplines

  • Excellent communication, self-management, and organizational skills

  • Highly collaborative in nature, contributing to a positive, team-centric culture and open to give and receive thoughtful feedback
