Pearson Sr. Agile Project Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Pearson Virtual Schools is seeking a Technical Project Manager that has experience with Predictive and Adaptive Project Management Methodologies. As a Technical Project Manager, you will need to leverage prior knowledge of IT concepts and frameworks to deliver value for stakeholders.

The TPM Manages information technology projects from planning through implementation based on industry best practices. Creates project plans, identifies and secures resources and implements projects. Manages project milestones, budget and resources and is accountable for successful project delivery. Coordinates activities and ensures effective communication to stakeholders and within project team. Tracks project schedules, reports on progress and takes corrective action as needed.



  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making

  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment

  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively mitigate risks

  • Experience with project reporting tools; preference Smartsheets

  • Experience with PMO operations


  • Master’s degree in project management or a related technical field

  • Agile Project Management Certification (e.g. SAFE, CSM, PMI-ACP)

  • Experience with process improvement initiatives

  • 5+ years of professional experience in commercial/large scale system software development and delivery

  • 5+ years of developing, integrating and maintaining highly available systems

  • 3+ years IT Infrastructure, Call Center, Telephony or Contact Center experience

  • Aptitude for PMO management concepts and implementation


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong collaboration skills supporting multiple stakeholders and business operations.

  • Ability to manage conflict effectively.

  • Ability to adapt and be productive in a dynamic environment.

  • Self-starter, self-managed, and a team player.

  • Business Analysis skills

  • Experience with dashboards and reporting


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience - required.
